The music is written in memory of my dear friend Jim Smith who passed away perhaps some ten years ago. This musical language started with my Levantine Suite and it continued at various times in various incarnations, so to say. I would hate to call this music "neo" this or that, so lacking other terminology, I would call it my "new old music". It feels as real to me as anything else that I have written. - Dusan Bogdanovic
