Nella presentazione del sito, la Fretted Treasures definisce così la mission della compagnia: "a company dedicated to the preservation, documentation, and restoration of classic fretted musical instruments. It is a company founded on love and appreciation for the master craftspersons who bring together the arts and sciences of fine woodworking, jewelry, inlaying, finishing and acoustics."

 

Accanto alle immagini e alle schede tecniche di alcune chitarre del secolo XIX, la sezione Museo contiene materiale documentario anche su altri strumenti a corda (chitarre-arpa, mandolini, bassi, chitarre acustiche antecendenti il 1940, chitarre elettriche vintage).

 

Interessante la sezione Visual Guide, con schemi grafici di palette, scudi e altre parti costruttive degli strumenti.
